Coaches' Corner

Coach Carlee Bushong brings passion, leadership, and experience to the court. With 7 years of AAU coaching under his belt, he’s committed to not only developing strong basketball players but also building character in young athletes. A devoted family man, Carlee and his wife are raising three children—ages 16, 13, and 9—and spend their weekends outdoors swimming, hiking, and camping together.

Faith and family are at the center of everything he does. As an active member of his church, Carlee believes in putting God first both on and off the court. When he’s not coaching, he works as a skilled mechanic at Hugg & Hall Equipment Company where he’s been employed for over eight years. For Coach Bushong, the greatest reward is teaching kids how to play the game the right way—while helping them grow into strong, respectful young adults. 

Avery Pettingill is a rising star in the coaching world, bringing fresh energy, dedication, and a high basketball IQ to the team. A current coaching student at the University of Central Arkansas, Avery spent 7 years playing AAU basketball and now channels that experience into developing young athletes—especially our junior and senior boys.

He’s known for his ability to connect with players, bring out their best, and create a positive, disciplined environment. A church-going leader with strong moral values, Avery enjoys golfing, spending time with his girlfriend and family, and staying active in the gym whether it’s during practice or game days. His first year on the coaching bench is already making a big impact.
